Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I read somewhere that Miami Carey went out of business some time ago.
Your best bet is to replace the unit...there are several manufacturers that have units that will fit the same opening.
If you are looking for electrical parts (switch, motor, etc) you might be able to get them from Radio Shack, or someplace similar... you'll need the specs on the individual part, but if it has any kind of proprietary mount/fastener, youre back to replacing the whole unit.
Exhaust fans arent that expensive, I'd seriously think about replacing it.
Good Luck

I had the same problem. After close inspection of the unit I found that it was actually made by Nutone. Under the Miami Carey label on the inner housing, there was a stamp that said Nutone model #8814. You might want to take a good look at the housing. This is an old thread but in case someone else like me comes across it, this info might help.
