I live in Tucson, AZ and I just moved into an apartment that's 1000 sq feet. All appliances are electric. How much is the electric bill going to be on average in the summer and in the winter?? Thanks for your help!

We live in San Diego, pretty big city....and we need some foam padding for our sofa. Our loveable cat Benson decided to pee all over the couch last week, it soaked through one cushion, pretty much completely ruining it. Now our couch looks tacky as hell with two cushions left. Any ideas?

are there any websites that sell special order carpets? im looking for Lime green very long shag carpet like retro 70's style. i'm redoing an old VW bus and want to get some Long Lime Green carpet to match the paint. and when i say long i mean like maybe 2-3 inches.

Strangely enough, Ive never had a concord grape. My wife got them thinkning they were blueberrys. When I bit into one. The skin fell right off, and the "fruit" was in a gelitiin type of caseing. What I wanted to know is if the seeds and all are safe to eat

I was at sears today and saw a pretty neat product: It was a small box, about the size of a large toaster, that was like a "automatic Christmas light show".

It had six outlets on it, for six different strands of lights. It basically flashed different strands of lights in sync with a song that was playing over a built in speaker.

I want to get one, but the price ($99) seemed cheap for something like that. So I wanted to check opinions and reviews on it. And of course, by the time I get home, I've forgotten the name and manufacture.

Would anyone happen to know what they are called, or who makes them (I think it's GE, but I couldn't find it on their site). And if anyone used one, how well do they work?

In my son's room, we realized that we are changing the bulbs in his room like every few days to a week. Not just the main one in his ceiling fan, but in his closet as well.. any ideas why this is happening? We've been in this house for about 3 years & this just started. No where else in the house. A hardware store salesman told me that until the new shipment of my size air filters comes in I can take the filters to a gas station air pump and blow out all the filth with the air pump.

Does anyone with expertise in heating and air filters know if this is safe and effective to do?

Does anyone know why a high-pitched whining noise comes from my room when I plug in electrical items to the power socket? Random sockets, random items, but the noise is quiet and very high like a ringing in the ears; and you can't tell which direction it's coming from.
I don't know anything about these things so just thought I'd ask and see if anyone does.

I have just assembled a buffet with draws and glass doors..I have taken care in putting it together..However the draws and glass doors do not alighn properly.! I recently bought my first bird feeder. The man I bought it from advised me on what types of seed to buy. I remember him saying that cardinals especially like those black sunflower seeds. We have cardinals here and I like seeing them outside my kitchen windows, so I bought a big bag of black sunflower seeds and put them in the bird feeder. I haven't seen any birds use my feeder until today. I saw a few brown sparrows (I think) fly up to the feeder and then fly off, but I haven't seen any birds since. I would have thought they'd have spread the word about a new feeder in town! Now I'm wondering if they don't like those black sunflower seeds. Did I misunderstand the guy? Did he mean they will only attract cardinals? Thanks!

The water in my home is barely working above a trickle...Some people suggested that its a water main break or something but I dont know. Its my boyfriends fathers home and he said this has never happen in 18 years...Did I do something wrong? Like is a drain clogged or something? We called the water company already we just dont know

I applied thompson watershied to my wooden porch and some areas are glossy and some are not. Should I pressure wash the glossy area and re- apply the watershield or should I just leave it alone. Any suggestions would be great
