Strangely enough, Ive never had a concord grape. My wife got them thinkning they were blueberrys. When I bit into one. The skin fell right off, and the "fruit" was in a gelitiin type of caseing. What I wanted to know is if the seeds and all are safe to eat

All grape seeds are safe to eat. Skins are tart as you probably noticed. So many people never get to know some of the best things in life, like fishing in farm ponds picking wild blackberries ( worth the thorns) and eating concord grapes from the vine.

I've been eating Concord grapes all my life and I'm a 74 year old country girl. "Squirt" the grape into your mouth. Do not chew. The seeds will not hurt you but if you bite into them they are bitter. Simply swallow the grape and delight in the heavenly taste.
City folks don't know what they are missing.

Concords are not really for "eating" because of their skin and seeds. If you like grape jam, jelly, or juice, there are no better grapes to use.

They're probably not safe. Asking before eating was a smart idea! Still want to try one? Let's not and say we did ;)
