The water in my home is barely working above a trickle...Some people suggested that its a water main break or something but I dont know. Its my boyfriends fathers home and he said this has never happen in 18 years...Did I do something wrong? Like is a drain clogged or something? We called the water company already we just dont know

This has nothing to do with your drain so, forget that.
If all the faucets in the house are acting this way, go out and find the main water turn on. It should be in front of the house, there should be a metal plate like a large square or circle that you'll have to lift up, it's heavy. Inside you'll find several pipes, one coming from the street, there's a large meter in between, there should be a lid on top with a numbered meter on it, there's also a turn lever on one side, this should be open so the lever is parallel to the pipe, there is also a hole in each side for a lock, make sure there's no lock on the pipe, if there is, call the water company, you've been shut off.
If there's no lock, then there's something wrong with the meter, again, call the water company. I have seen these go haywire and they've had to change them. You should hear and see the meter running when someone turns the water on, the dial gages should turn.
You do have some type of interruption of the water, there's something in the main line that's been turned off, or broken. If all fails, call a plumber.

first you should check the filter and make sure it's not clogged up (the last part the water touches before coming out of the faucet). If the rest of the plumbing is working then it's not a water main break, and a clog would be if the water wasnt going down, not if the water wasnt coming out. If you're still having problems you'll need to get a plumber, just make sure you get one that charges per job not per hour, the ones that charge per hour cost you a lot more because they take there time finding the problem and fixing it. Hope this helps.

most likely the line is broken. go out and check the meter box. if the needle is running fast, then the line is broken between the house and the meter. if not, then it may be broken on the city side. if it is broken on your side, you will have to foot the repair bill AND pay for the lost water. you did not say if all faucets are just a trickle or just one. if it is just one, then take the aerator off and clean out the particles stuck in it. Slow water out of the faucet has no relationship to the drain.

Ask his father if there is a water filter somewhere under the house, it may be time to change it. Or there could be something clogging the incoming line from the water company, they should be able to check that. It can't have anything to do with the drain and I doubt that anything you could have done has caused it.

If your water meter isn't spinning with all the faucets turned off, and the water company can't find anything on their side, it could just be that your main water inlet has become clogged.

Is this in all faucets or just kitchen and bath sink if it is just in the sinks my bet would be the aerator is plugged up and needs replaced. You can check these yourself by removing them and see if that helps the flow at all.
It is the small metal piece at the end of the faucet right where the water comes out all you need is a pair of pliers and just screw it off by turning it counter clockwise.
