In my son's room, we realized that we are changing the bulbs in his room like every few days to a week. Not just the main one in his ceiling fan, but in his closet as well.. any ideas why this is happening? We've been in this house for about 3 years & this just started. No where else in the house. Any advice welcome.. Thanks.

Sounds like a lose wire to me. The spot I would check first is inside the box the ceiling fan is attached to. They always vibrate and it may have loosened the connections in the box. Other than that, I would look inside each and every box associated with that wire run as it's a lose connection somewhere and those also cause heat.

Could be wiring (circuit) problem or using bulbs too high in wattage. Try lower numbers. 100 to 75 or 75 to 60 or 60 to 40.

Did you buy cheap bulbs? If not, call an electrician to check out the circuit.

Sounds like the wiring in that circuit has developed a fault. I would suggest you get a qualified electrician to investigate.
