I just recently bought a house in queens, ny and realized that the access point for the septic tank was located inside the basement. Is it necessary to have an access point for the septic tank? Can I move it outside to the backyard? Do I need a permit from the city? And what's the cost range for all this work?

appreciate any answers. Thanks.

I have a 30-inch slide in range and the glass on the oven door just shattered all over the floor. (My fault - a heavy pitcher I was taking out of dish washer slipped and hit the oven door) Just a freak accident. The range is 11 years old. Approximate cost of a new glass? I'd have a serviceman install it. They charge $65 just to come out. Should I replace or buy a new range?

I have moon flower plans, Ipomoea Alba. And I collected seeds form one and planted them. The seeds came up beautiful but with one problem, the vine and leaves have a purple color. The vines are completely a rich purple and the veins in the leaves are purple as well. I am wondering if they are some sort of hybrid or something, or perhaps there is something too rich, or lacking for that matter in the soil. Will they still produce the beautiful white flowers?

I have several major things I want done on my home. Does it make sense to consider the order of what is done? I want the carpet out and put in a wood floor. I want the inside of the house painted and new base boards. I also want the spray ceiling removed. I'm also considering retiling the kitchen counters and bathroom counters and shower, but I probably have to wait on this because of the cost.

It is tearing up my lawn, but I feel that is a not good enough reason to kill because it is just grass you know. An animal is more important then how my lawn looks, but I was wondering if there was a way I could get rid of it without harming it.

I use a washcloth everytime I shower, is it unsanitary or unsafe to leave the damp washcloth on the little bar in the shower for a day or 2? I change it with a clean washcloth about 3-4 times a week...should I use a clean one each time?

We didn't know we had one in our yard, until my husband dumped some dirt in a low spot. Suddenly we have a bunch of angry bumbles circling around the dirt mound, and they don't look happy! (that's just an assumption, since I can't see if they are smiling or frowning.) We would never have deliberately harmed or blocked their home, but how can I tell that to a bee? Is there anything we can do now or will they dig it out themselves? And can we ever use that part of our yard again?

We found a small mud-looking clump on our wall outside in a corner. What could it be? It's not a wasps nest but it does look like some kind of sack.

My next door neighbour is currently having major works done to her back garden. The land directly on the other side of our common fence is being raised. Im worried that I will be having problems with drainage as more water will be coming down from her side into my land. No proper retaining wall was built, just planks of wood to retain the soil away from the fence. Does anyone know if i can do anything to stop this, and how badly will it affect me ? many thanks

I would like to save flowers in a paperweight made of resin or in a hollow plastic ball. I can not find a mold big enough for make a paperweight. (The mold needs to be at least 2.5 to 3" deep) I can not find a supplier for the plastic or glass globes. Any ideas would be appreciated.

with my plants. I bought 3 David Austin "Mary Rose" plants. The flowers I'm choosing are namesakes of people I love that have passed on, a "Grandma's Garden" so to speak. My question? Can I add a few new plants each year until the garden is developed or do you think it should be established at one time?
