maybe a "kidney shaped pool", or one with nice stairs...not really big...probably one with a diving section and one with a shallower section for kids...then a hot tub, and outdoor grill...then a really nice kitchen with stainless steel refridgerator and a cooktop stove on the little island in the middle with the pots hanging down, then the living room attached with a nice sitting area, big tv, and more of an oriental theme, dining room attached with deep, deep mahogany table with those really cool chairs that blow out air when you sit down, in gold, then the hall bathroom be green, really tall with rustic black "bowl" looking sink with a sand colored tiling in the shower. Master bedroom, well, whatever i liked at that time, with a really big bathroom, double sinks, and a wash room in a little room near the bedroom so you dont have to carry the stuff super far...
then upstairs i'd have the guest rooms and the kid rooms, decorated...again, however, a day bed or futon in the guest bedroom, and then a whirl pool tub/jaccuzzi somewhere...different from the hottub...
then granite countertops and wood flooring...
i know expensive taste huh?

I've built three and each has been different but all wonderful. Each time you build, you learn what features are important to you and those change as you change. So it's not as much about falling in love with one design. Open floor plans have been the trend for many years. They are great because they create a nice flow between kitchen, breakfast and great room and offer the ability for all to be together without being on top of each other. Kitchen designs are so important as are master baths. We have always chosen a community, then a builder, then one of the builder's designs. There are many standard items that come with the home, but the options are endless, for a price. Only you can decide which options fit into your budget so you have to be sure to put the money where it's most important.

It has to have a front porch and lots of windows on all sides of the house. It must be a bright & sunny interior possibly with the house facing south. or east.It would have light colored, natural wood floors throughout and a separate jacuzzi tub & stall shower in the master bath suite. This house would have 2 front rooms (possible home offfices or an art studio ) as you walk into the front door and a large combination kitchen, dining and living room area ( a fam room /kitchen combo) in the rear of the house.(South and west facing windows.) This house would have 4 or 5 bedrooms each with separate baths for kids and company. There'd be a large pantry for storing food in the kitchen as well as an interior laundry room (not located in the garage.)A heated pool would be a nice bonus with a long narrow section for doing laps. The exterior in the back of the house would have a covered area for entertaining with a wood burning fireplace and grill. A waterfall feature and a nicely landscaped backyard with a lot of privacy would be delightful. This home would have a 3 or 4 car garage and large storage area to keep ,bicycles, lawn mower and other assorted sports equipment.Oh silly me, I forgot, I'd have to be rich to have this house so my landsacaper can store the lawn equipment at his shop, lol... The front of the house would have a cottage style garden with a mixture of tall perrenials like foxgloves &hollyhocks, flowering bushes and roses. There'd be the required white picket fence made of course of material that would not require painting.....Throw in some nice, normal, friendly, polite neighbors and you have my dream house . Not too far from the ocean either, maybe a block away?Hope this helps
