How do you get woven field fencing stretched tight between poles? Ours seems to want to sag no matter what we try.

Whatever they are, fruit flies, gnats. The bananas turn brown fast in the fridge. Is there any natural way to keep them away?

I have removed my flowers from the flower bed, used Round-Up to kill everthing else off, then used the tiller. Raked out the dirt, fertilized the soil. AND the thistles keep coming back. A ton of them!!!! How do I kill them? Why can I do to the soil to keep them out?

I bought some new furniture recently that completely does not match the color of the walls that the old owners had painted in my family room. There is a chair railing so they had two different colors on top and bottom (see pictures below). I don't mind the idea of having two different colors.

The theme I would ultimately like to go for would be a sort of "British West Indies" (I think), and none of the current tables, etc. has to stay (I had planned on buying new ones anyway). There is a picture that I like and I took a photo of it (see below). I do not think the greens in it match the new furniture at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what colors to paint the walls?

we just bought a used upright deep freeze freezer, it looks perfectly clean on the inside but has a horrible stinky, musty old food smell that I cant get rid of. I have tried baking soda, bleach wwater and orange cleaner. It is so bad i gag when cleaning it and we cannot think of even plugging it in to add food until the gross smell is gone..any ideas?

I was wondering if anyone had experience with these kits and if they are the same quality foam that an installer uses. For me it's difficult to buy claims that a do it yourself kit is the same quality as an installer with a truck full of equipment for the job. But an installer's equipment may just be to get the job done faster. If i'm not mistaken, installers heat their foam to 130 degrees to spray it. I'd appreciate any input because i was just quoted $13,000 to insulate my house with this. Thanks

it has a filter that also has a fountain. we clean it often of debris from trees and surrounding bushes. it gets about 8 hours of sunshine a day.we chose a black liner to put over the hole we dug in the ground. the fish we buy are usually goldfish and mollies. my mother who had a pond for 30 years says i should get an 8 inch algae eater and a bamboo rake to help clean the algae problem.

Hi guys, I recently signed a 12 month lease for a house. I was wondering if I'm able to paint the walls of the house.

I'm thinking light contemporary colors, nothing dark.

The lease did not prohibit the painting of the walls, nor did it condone it.

Am I safe to paint the house, and then paint it back upon moving out?

my pet rabbit. It doesn't exactly stink but clean laundry (washed with tide) doesn't smell that way. I'm thinking he just had wet clothes and put them in the dyer. Why would his clothes smell like rabbit.?

I am looking to buy a gas log splitter. I was wondering if anyone can help me find one. I was looking for one in the Toronto to Barrie Ontario area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Willing to spend up to around $1000 for a good quality one. The less expensive the better of course. Thanks so much!

I have a mower that when you pull the cord to start it and all sudden when I was mowing and I went into an area of tall grass it started smoking a bit and it shut off. When I went to start it, the chord seemed like it was locked. I couldnt pull it to start it up. SO i found this guy who fixes lawn mowers. I told him I didnt want to put much money into it as I would rather just buy new then. So he said he knew what it was and replaced the top of the mower wich had a new string too. He wanted 25 so I said fine as I wasnt going to pay more than that for no old mower. I went home that day and used it. It started fine then I was mowing and I went over a patch of grass it started smoking a little and died and I went to start it again and it locked up again. I phoned the guy and hes making excuses. I want my money back.
