Wrap a rope twice around the circumference of the tyre keeping it in the middle of the tread. Placing a stick or rod between the two and twisting you will depress the centre causing the sides of the tyre to move out to the rim of the wheel.

The people telling you to tie a rope around the outside of the tire are right. You have to smash the tire down in the middle so that the sides of the tire will expand into the rim and make it seal up long enough to inflate the tire. Use a stick of wood or something to twist the rope tight.

Take it to a tire shop and they can secure it for you. It usually takes a big blast of air to inflate the tire to the size of the rim quickly. I believe Discount tire should do it for cheap if not free.

Well, I could not figure that out either! SO, I took the tire to an Agway, they inserted an inner tube into the tire, and now I can always figure out how to solve the go flat problem!

adding to the previous answers............. the rope works great but sometimes the seal isn't tight enough. If you still can't get it to take the air try pouring oil around the inside of the rim this will help
