I have red (micro suede) furniture with dark woods. We are ready to decorate this room, but are having a hard time picking a color for the walls. I'm open to any ideas for a good color scheme....thanks!

our house is just a regular ranch style home, but it is small so a color that would enhance the space would be nice. There is also A LOT of natural light in the room if that helps at all

Sorry I keep forgetting to add other furnishings....
We have a beautifully carved dark wood (looks cherry now but is actually mahogany) All of the other wood furniture is a deep cherry (shelving, aquarium). We also have a LCD Flat panel tv that is black along with other black entertainment stuff. Thats about it right now.

Wow....this sounds beautiful. Picture this....taupe walls ...red furniture...dark woods and a very large plant....it will add color and bring the room alive. The taupe wall will be neutral, yet still add warmth to the room. Your furniture will just pop. Don't forget to add a rug to make it cozy. I hope this helps.

Small + red upholstered furniture + dark woods = ivory, or off-white!
Add little dabs of brass or silver [ whichever you prefer ] in frames, candlesticks, and in a few pillow patterns.

Try a mushroom color for walls and accents. Compliment with a light beige to brighten and keep things balanced...
A dash of black in your accessories would look smashing!

I would definitely stick with a light color. Beige, maybe. You don't to go too dark with red and dark wood!
