Most caladiums, colocasias, and alocasias, including them common elephant ears, are indigenous the floors of tropical rain forests. They need lots of water, shade, and high humidity to perform ideally. They can practically live submerged in water. If yours are in the sun, they will need exorbitant watering. I mean two or three times a day.
Another side tip: Do Not Fertilize! They will get all the nitrogen they will ever need naturally. Too much N and you get a marbled look. Common fertilizers that also contain phosphorus will urge them to set blooms and decrease the energy put into growing the large leaves that you're looking for.

Elephant ears need to be watered alot. I have them and I water them and they are huge and gorgeous!! I use a small amount of miracle grow on mine every 4 to 6 weeks so try that too.....Good Luck!

sounds like they need water. EE's have a high water requirement.
