I assume you know that "leveled properly" means that the refrigerator should tip with the front higher than the rear. If so the problems must be with the gasket. The magnets are inside the rubber and require that the rubber be soft and springy enough that the gasket will squish enough for the magnets to get close to the metal of the door frame. You can buy a new magnetic gasket and install it yourself using just a screwdriver.

If you arent acutally going to answer the question THEN DONT. You diyers that see ONE problem and think that you know everything.

The thing you need to do is lift thedoor while closing it. If it closes properly then all you need is a spacer on the bottom of the door. These can be ordered and installed easily. IN fifteen years I have never changed door seal because of the magent "dying", give me a break

Bad rubber seal or the magnets are dead. If you have a friend in the computer business, have him take apart and old hard drive from the computer and get the magnets for you.
They are small but really REALLY strong. That will keep your door shut until you can replace the seal or get a new fridge.

My guess would be that the seal in dry and that the actual door is twisted slightly. Have a tech come in and see.
