My apartment is about 230 sq feet in all and I only intend on using one for a few (perhaps 5 or 6) hours a day.

(We have pet rabbits and 90+ degrees is pretty unsafe for them.)

Thanks in advance.

I moved my 500 gallon propane tank in the yard; the line was flexible copper but all the natural gas lines I see run now are plastic and I was wondering if there is something better to use than copper?

This is for a rental property. The electric stovetop works but the oven does not. I took out the heating element and put it on a multimeter and checked for resistance. It showed 0.00 Ohms. Is the element bad or is something wrong inside the oven?

My water heater tank cracked and needs replaced. A new hydro unit is approx 1800.00. Can the system be converted to a regular gas water heater and a separate heat pump? What cost could I expect?

I took a few pictures. I found the health department's number. I haven't told my landlord yet. I wanted to get versed in my rights first. We live on the second floor of a house. The landlord lives on the frist floor. My wife has been complaining about a bad smell since we moved in.

I need inexpensive decor ideas for my apartment. I cannot paint or do anything perm. Here's what I'm working with:
Living room and kitchen are only seperated by the kitchen counter. Living room floor is blue, walls are grey and white. (light grey). I have two windows in my livingroom and none in my kitchen. Kitchen counters are white appliances are mostly white. Cabinets are bright wood. I have a chest of drawers, a roll-top desk, a tall book case and some smaller kitchen chairs in my living room. They are all mostly dark wood. I cannot paint the bookcase. I need color schemes, cheap furnishing ideas (I MEAN CHEAP) and some way to seperate the two rooms if possible or bring them together color-wise without having them match exactly. I want them to look like seperate rooms. Details, color schemes, do-it-yourself ideas and links are greatly appreciated and will make a "best answer" more likely:)

We discovered that we need extensive pipe replacement in our upstairs bathroom....we bought our older home a year ago and found that the pipes are actually leaking water into the wall, down to the ceiling and wall in the first floor, and through to the wall and floor of our basement to the foundation. Estimates on replacement/repair are around 2500 dollars, not including the cost of drywall to replace the ceiling and wall areas that will need to be removed.
Does homeowners insurance cover any portion of this? If they do how does it work....do you just call or write them and submit a claim?
