The brick/dutch oven is set into the fireplace, not hanging like a generic dutch oven. It is placed to the right of the area where the fire is made, yet still in the fireplace. How does this type of oven function and how would one go about maintaining the oven?

They are driving my dog, and in turn me, crazy. She's obsessed with trying to catch them and she's always barking to go out or tearing up the yard and fence trying to catch them.

I want to put the fence back in it's original spot, which is the property line. My neighbor thinks it needs to be over on my property more. There is a survey marker, and the fence is right on that marker. He is threatening to sue if I replace the fence in it's original spot. Where does a fence usually go, on the property line or inside my yard? If I put it inside the survey marker then I am giving up some of my property. HELP!!

My lawn is riddled with gopher holes. The grass is turning brown and I have tried all sorts of methods but they just come back, they are so familiar I gave them all names. I can't let the gophers win. Please help.

I've built a large pond (some plants, snails) and there is a fine layer of dirt/sand in the bottom (i live in Florida and its mostly sand). Should I try and get this out? If so, how? or should i try and sweep it to one end and use it for plants? The sand is too fine for my filter. I see so many conflicting stories that i'm afraid of owning this watergarden now! is it really that hard?

Warriner it is a long stem rose with one bloom. Was also know as JACanth or JACmantha. My daughter in law loves roses and she just a baby girl a week ago and her name is Samantha Elizabeth & I would love to find this rose for her to plant. If anyone can help me please let me know.

Why is it that after using the electric hedge cutters I can't hold anything still with my right hand, it's very shakey, possibly because of the vibrations?

Left hand acts similairly but not as bad.

I have some drawers in my kitchen which have glass fronts for display purposes. Right now they have colored pasta and beans and peas in them which need to be replaced. I'm not thrilled with the look, and would like to think of something else to put in the sections for display. These are about 15" by 10" fronts, and the display space behind the glass is about 1" deep. The drawers themselves are quite deep, so I need to think of something that is relatively lightweight to display. I thought of the glass marbles for color, but that would be too heavy. Thanks for your suggestions.

I have this great place with lots of space, real hardwood floors, patio garden, big kitchen, well, lots of stuff and it doesn't feel good to me. I loved it when I was looking at it and I couldn't wait to decorate, now I'm missing my tiny old place. My bed doesn't feel right in the room, I know this is crazy, but I was sleeping N to S before and now I have to sleep E to W and I hate it. I feel uncomfortable, and I can't find the will to unpack. Is there something wrong with me or is this normal?

I just purchased a new-to-me home (30-40 yr old construction). The master bedroom is on the main floor above the basement and we are wondering if the floor will hold the bed.

Everything I've read says that if the house was built to code, then it will be fine due to the distribution of weight. The house is in great condition and I think it will, but how can we be sure (without filling it and holding our breath)?
