I have this great place with lots of space, real hardwood floors, patio garden, big kitchen, well, lots of stuff and it doesn't feel good to me. I loved it when I was looking at it and I couldn't wait to decorate, now I'm missing my tiny old place. My bed doesn't feel right in the room, I know this is crazy, but I was sleeping N to S before and now I have to sleep E to W and I hate it. I feel uncomfortable, and I can't find the will to unpack. Is there something wrong with me or is this normal?

Don't try to decorate like a city loft incorporate the things that you like into your home and decorate each room slowly.
It's normal --it takes time to get to know your house. Decorate the rooms that you use the most and everything else should fall into place. Good luck!

It's normal to feel uncomfortable, even if you are in a 'better' house. It doesn't feel like home yet, it's too big, it's full of boxes. This is all normal, and every one has it a little.
I was so uncomfortable when we bought our first house, then I realized subconsciously, I didn't feel like I 'deserved' it yet!
Unpack your things, make a list of what you still need, and re-assess all furniture and colors to decide what to add/subtract.
You'll feel at home soon.

that's not crazy at all, infact it is best to sleep facing north according to many. My husband swears by it, he is an ex-athlete and their coaches always made them sleep facing north before a big race, they would rearrange hotel rooms in some cases.
Also you may consider that you are feeling some guilt about having a larger space, and trying to justify it. for example is it costing you more and you are not sure if you should have spent the extra money.
lastly you may just prefer the coziness of small spaces and should try filling your new place, maybe paint the walls in warm cozy colours, like your bedroom in chocolate, suede or cafe type colours and then the rest of the house in comfort colours, greens, blues for soothing.
I believe it will feel like home in time, I have felt that feeling before and gotten over it.

get a feng shui book and see what makes you feel good. maybe you need to move some stuff around. or maybe you need to get rid of some stuff. i think you don't want to unpack because you are not "at home" in your new space. don't think anything is wrong with you. just need some adjustments...

its gonna take awhile to feel home, especially if you lived in your other place for a long time. you should unpack and start decorating! that will help you get over it!
