Go to a hardware store and buy a couple tubes of plaster patch. It is pre-mixed and all you have to do is cut the tip and squeeze out a bit into the holes. Have a plastic putty knife to help force the material into the holes.
Use a stiff scrub brush before starting to knock down the loose material at each hole.
After applying the patching material and using the putty knife, take a damp sponge before the material dries and wipe off the excess. These holes are plugged nicely and will be off white. You can then prime and paint if your wall is not white, otherwise you might egt by with just the patching.
DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE because it will stain and cause many problems.

First wash your walls with TSP in water. Rinse. (that will take any grime off the walls. Then use some spackle in a pastry bag and a tiny piping tip fill the holes and smooth them down with a gloved fingertip. If you get tired and can't finish but still have gobs of paint in your paint tray. Wet a piece of paper towel and put it in the upper corner out of the bulk of the paint... then use aluminum foil and seal the tray. Wrap your paint brushes in plastic wrap to keep them moist. Next day your wet towel will have kept the paint from getting a crust. :) Put down drop cloths and paint bare footed... so you can feel if you have stepped in paint and won't track it into another room and ruin the floors. have fun

Quick, easy and affordable... TOOTHPASTE! I am a drywall contractor and a landlord. I constantly have to patch these holes in my rental properties and this is beats buying taping mud, putting down visquine, applying a coat of mud, matching the wall texture and painting the walls.

Even if the walls are not white, toothpaste will fill the wall just fine and then you simply paint over.

Try it as you read this and you will see.

You can go to your local handyman store , and they should have some special plaster that you can fill it in with . The stores usually have lots of that type of stuff . It works well , too !

Toothpaste will work, as will mixing baking soda and water to a paste.
