According to what it is on. SOMETIMES those Mr. Clean cleaning sponges will take it off if you get to it fast enough. Fingernail polish remover will take it off some things too.

Do not wash. never use water and detergent. Just soak overnight in cooking oil. Then wash normally. In some cases traces of the color may remain. The sooner you soak the cloth/fabric the better result you get.

The one that seems to pop up on most cleaning sites is hairspray. I cannot confirm or deny as I have been lucky enough not to have had the problem.

Might want to try rubbing alcohol, and rub like crazy. They use it in schools a lot. It's safe to use on most surfaces... just be carefull on varnished surfaces.

Try nail polish remover, depending on what surface it is on (i.e. wood, metal, paper)
