You have several options since your house is white. The brown roof makes brown a good option. But what color is your front door? That will need to be figured into the color choice. I like red front doors. But if yours is stained you might want to paint the shutters red to set them off against the white.
Black is a great color against white and would look good especially if your door is brown or red.
Any shade variation of brown would look good as would a dark rich brownish orange. But the orange would really need to go with the front door.
Greens are another option. But I would go toward an olive shade rather than the standard dark green shutters.
