Ok, so we moved into our house......the kitchen countertops are a burnt orange (think University of Texas orange). Ugly! Since we don't have the money to replace the countertops at the moment, I'm going to live with it for now, but I need a kitchen theme that will make the orange countertops fit in. (By the way, the cabinets are white)

I had no choice but to use a can of dust remover (air in can) to clear debris from a pilot burner on an old space heater. I didn't hold the can upright enough and dispersed liquid onto the surface. I will eventually go in to light this thing and I would like to avoid being engulfed by a fireball.

ok im working on an all DIY and hand made experimental water culture system and im almost done with it except the lights and lighting related material and issues... now i know what i need if i was to purchase a final product from stores but i just needed to know if its possible (of course not with too much risk or problems, plz explain if u know of any) to use a mogul based grow light with a medium base converter directly without using a ballast or do i HAVE to use a ballast?

I hope i made myself clear enough but let me know and i'll add more details or clarify exactly what im taking about! Thx

Side by side refrigerator, door handles turn yellow at the point where most people open it, suppose it's from the dirt and grease on hands.

Just wanna find out here, how many of you have used ultrasonic cockroach repellents/mosquito repellent here and it has been effective... i am considering to buy one but have done a little search online and some said that they were not useful against the cockroaches. I don't wanna try DIY or any other ideas at home because i've tried them before and it never worked. I keep my house clean too... they normally fly in from the windows.(I put netting in my room window so they dun fly in from there, but they do from windows in the hall or kitchen)

Please give me your advises based on experience with these ultrasonic repellents.

P.S.
Just in case some dun know what's an ultrasonic repellent, its a repellent that emits waves or sounds that isn't audible to humans but acts as a disturbance to insects so that they can't settle down in your home.

thanks in advance peeps!

The herbs in my kitchen have recently been overrun with whitefly and greenfly, laying eggs all over them and also flying around the sink.

Needless to say, my wife is not impressed.:-)

There are all manner of chemicals I COULD spray them with, but as I want to eat these herbs, I am reluctant to do so!

Does anyone know of anything I could spray them with that kills flies but leaves humans standing?

I have a small maple tree that I have to cut down every year. It is growing in an unwanted area around my AC unit. Due to it's location, I can't successfully dig it up. Is there a chemical I can pour on it to kill it quickly?
