When decorating a lot of factors have to be decided. You have to know what colors are your favorite and if those colors go together. What type of furniture you like best, and Last what theme if any? Many times people like to decorate like something they may have seen in a magazine or movie. I love to decorate! If I were to decorate your room I would look at the size of the room. Once you told me the colors you like then I would contrast them together for example, if you said you like deep plum and cream, I would paint your walls a dark cream color then accent with the deep purple. I would then find out what are you trying to capture in your room? IF it is a romantice seeting then I would choose soft lights with sheer cream drapping along the ceilings. I would have deep plum curtains and comforter with a big full cream and plum rug. I would combine throw pillows all sizes shapes in both colors. Furniture does not have to be expensive. You can tastefully pick out some nice items in the clarence section of each furniture store. I say this becasue some people get bored easily with certain styles and in case you want to change up in a year a two you would not have spent that much on one piece of furniture. I probably would have a canopy bed with a long lounge chase. Last but not least lot's and lot's of candles! Yes skinny ones fat ones all shapes and sizes. With the candles I would probabally explore with the colors I would keep the same color patteren but also choose other colors that fit the color sceeme you had going on to began with. I would stay with soft bright pretty colors that would go along with that plum. That is how you could decorate your room.

paint it a peachy color if it's a northern exposure- or pale blue if it's a sunny exposure. Find out according to Feng Shui where to place your bed and then arrange the rest of your furniture in your room for visual pleasure and convenience.
Make lighting soft throughout the room except at your work area- there make sure the lighting is eye friendly and the room is well ventilated. Throw away stuff you don't need (or give it away). Keep the floor clear for easy and quick cleaning each week. Add some soothing pictures. and comfy bed coverings.

I painted my boy's room a dark green, and the borders a light green. everything in it is either a shade of green or wood. no cartoon bed (he's two) it's a plain wooden toddler bed with a two tone green comforter hawaiian style. i painted his two smallish toy boxes with the green i used for the trim. he has a green stuffed chair and the shelves and dresser are natural wood.

now that he's moved in, his colorful toys don't clash so much and it looks so nice when it's clean

Find a bedspread that you really like and decorate your room around that.

paint it, but its way better a plain color, beccuase if you have like a pattern then when your room is messy, or all the stuff in it classhes with it. and it looks really relaly relaly bad. thats what happened to my room.
