My ex boyfriend gave me some items of furniture. Everytime i look at them i think of him and he treated me so badly in the end. Should i take them outside and smash them up with a hammer, or should i just live with them? I wouldn't have anything to sit on if i did this though. Advice please. Thanks!

I have a small room, (10ft. x 10ft. to be exact!) Out of 4 walls, one of them has my door, 2 of them has a window, and one of them has 2 closets, (both of which are mostly not mine). On 2 and 2/3 walls, there is desk, and the other third has the twin bed. There are no walls left for a comfy chair or a bookcase! And all of the walls are bumpy and feel cool all the time. The walls are painted a light green with the trim a light pink. I don't know how to make it look like there is more space. (And I know a few tricks like placing mirrors and playing with light.) Tips please!!!

It almost looks like the detergent is not washing away completely. I use Cascade powder and I use that Jet Dry rinse aid stuff. Is there some way to remedy this?

I have been growing a hybrid variety of Schizanthus and the plants are all hugely different in terms of leaf size, height, stem thickness and speed of growth despite being grown in exactly the same conditions. However, they are all lacking in vigour even though I am giving them the conditions they like- is it the fault of the variety? Could the variety be TOO inbred?

Don't have the money. Don't really like the contractor's pressure to get the job done.

The trumpet like flowers are only in the Spring and the "horn" part points downward. I've heard these trees nicknamed "elephant ear trees" and also heard this is the wood most commonly used now for piano keys (versus the old fashioned ivory). they are common in Harford county and can grow like 50' tall. What in the dickens are they called?

I just bought several cute gnomes for the front yard and they cost a fortune. Now, I'm afraid some teenage punk is going to steal them in the night. Any suggestions for somehow securing them to the ground? Thanks a lot!

All hoses are made with led. I know it wont go into the plants. But you can not drink, or fill a blow up pool with them? I use a bucket at thye moment.

We want to add a gate to our existing deck, but the opening in the deck rail doesn't have a post on one side because it's right next to the house. The post on the other side is a 4x4 set in concrete, and I think the opening is about 30". If I use spring loaded self-closing hinges and build the gate lightly (with lattice or pickets), do I need to have posts on both sides?
