We are painting our bedroom a beachy shade of blue green with summer/beach decor. I work at Big Lots and they have single palm leaves and I thought they would be cute.. if only I could find a use for them in the room.... Any ideas?

so i own a 2.5 acre lot. there are tons of rocks. so everytime we dig we hit big rocks.
well we found a spot that we thought didnt have many rocks. well if we wudda dug down a lil deeper we wud have found a rock kingdom. well we buried a magnolia. and now its starting to die. the roots are coming up because too many rocks are in the way for it to grow so it comes up. wat shud we do? just leave it be or shud we undig it and plant it somewhere else?

I love the rose and Sunflower. I love the rose because it comes in different colors and the Sunflower because it's just so pretty. How about you?

I seem to be surrounded by other peoples gardens so would like to plant something which grows quickly to give some screening (people could be offended by the sight of me sunbathing).

I'm putting in a double socket as a spur off the ring circuit, I have done this before but the real difficulty is chiseling out the wall to take it. Is there a handy tool for this?

Cheers.

For some reason I can never get the bromine levels to stay at the correct levels for very long. They are either too high or too low. If I wanted to use the hot tub while the levels are too high will it harm my skin??

All of the sterling silver flatware chests that I see online and in stores look so small and only seem to accomodate the place settings.

I recently purchased a condo in Miami (Kendall, no where near the beach). When first looking at the apartment I asked about hurricane shutters and received strange looks from the owner, the real estate agent and the association representative. All told me that the association allowed them, but that I had no need for any since I had a balcony (12 ft long by 4 ft deep) and was on the second floor (building is four stories tall).
This doesn't make any sense to me. What do balconies and being on the second floor have to do with things hitting my sliding glass doors or windows? I thought the wind got worse the higher up you went.
Do I need hurricane shutters or not? If not, could you explain why?

Thanks!

Ever since my neighbour put up a high, solid fence my lawn has become overtaken with moss. Having given up fighting a loosing battle against it, I am thinking of turning it into a feature, maybe a moss garden, or Japanese garden. The only other thing that is thriving at the moment is a Forsythia, but I'd like some ideas please. The fence is on the south west side of the garden with a large yew tree (neighbour's) to the south, and the house on the north west so not much sun on that strip.

The drain pipe has a corroded area and is leaking badly. I must replace it.

The pipe is iron. On one end it connects to iron, on the other end to plastic. The iron-to-iron end connection is also corroded.

How hard will this be to replace? I assume I need some sort of special fitting on each end of the replacement pipe to enable me to install it.
