You do not want to use any sort of solvent on superglue on Formica.

What that will do is cause a solution to form and by wiping that around you will smear the area much larger than it is right now.

You want to use a greasy product on there to release the superglue from the formica. A typical good product would be ordinary hand cleaner, the non abrasive type. Apply it liberally to the glue spot, then take a hair dryer and heat it up a bit so as it will absorb below the glue and release it from the Formica. Those are a greasy hand cleaner and will work well on releasing almost any sort of glues from Formica and woodwork and even glass or tile.

Once you get about all you can released with the hand cleaner, then take some no scratch procuct like BonAmi and clean the area well. Your superglue should be gone.

super glue is a hard thing to remove if you don't scrape it off. any chemical you might use may damage the finish on the counter top and you might notice it especially if the top is dark color or a high gloss finish. Super glue will wear off over time. like anything else. You might want to try maybe some kind of goof- off or fluid for zippos lighters is a good cleaner as well. If it was me though i would use the razor and carefully peal the excess off holding it flat to the surface with the little bit that is left try one of the methods i mentioned. as long as your not cutting into the counter top you shouldn't scratch it with the razor blade. just go slow and be care full

i second that! acetone is a well known remover of super glue. just test a patch somewhere you won't see to make sure the acetone doesn't damage the surface of the counter top before you attack the super glue. good luck!

Ok, the only answer is nail polish remover, trust me, after I did a prank at school by super gluing pennys to the ground, thats what I had to use, and it worked really good

I dont' know if this will work or not....

Try nail polish remover with acetone. I work in an industry where the adhesive we use is like superglue and we remove it using acetone.

It might work....
