You bring dust from outside, lint from clothing, dead skin cells. Air cleaners help keep it down but you wont get rid of it completely.

Debbie, you must live in Arizona too!!! I think it comes in through the front door, you know!!! Because we will dust one day, and the very next day it looks as if we never dusted!! My mom, gave up after years, of dusting every day!! She only dust's about once a month, now!! And she lives right down the street from me!! In Arizona!! Haha!! Its an "Endless Battle!!" Unfortunately!!! Good Luck, finding something to help solve this problem!!! Smile!!! Things could always be worse!!

Unless a room is "medically sterile" you cannot keep dust out of it.
Get this, I used to live in the southwestern USA. I could park my car and roll the windows up tightly. Yet when I returned to the car after a dust storm, there would be a coating of dust on the seats and the floorboards.

A majority of dust is dead skin cells. There is also microscopic dust that can get in through cracks in doors and windows.
