I am looking for a kitchen floor. I do not want ceramic tile and I am leery of hardwood. I was looking at cork flooring and wanted to know if anyone has it in their kitchens and if they like it or not. Is it hard to keep clean?

Our fence is falling down, the lawn is over grown with weeds and horrible lumpy grass and I think the lemon tree is dead. We’re working with a small budget so where should we start first?

In the fall we moved into our new house which has a huge back yard that has a large flower garden that has not been cared for in a very long time. The realator said they were all perenials but had no idea what kind. The only plant I know for sure is a huge rose bush that desperately needs pruning.

My first question is should I prune now or should I wait until???

The second one isabout the ground covering. How do I tell what to get rid of and what to keep. Or should I just rake around the stems and cover it with mulch. i have never really had a yard of my own and know very little about gardening but I would like to work with what i have got because all my neighbors say the yard was beautiful about 3 years ago.

HI, I want to fill a 160 square foot room with small tiles. I would like a mosaic of a stream with rocks and plants. (it will feel like walking on water. I would like to know of a cheap source for this many tiles and what type of tile material would be good for a floor. I will need about 36,000 multi colored 3/4 inch tiles to complete this project. Thanks

I am replacing siding on my house. About every tenth nail my nail gun doesn't drive in all the way (leaving about 1/2 to 3/4 showing). If I try and pull the nail out, the head pulls off. If I drive to drive it in furhter with a hammer, the nail bends. Help.

I found a bug/insect in my house that i have never seen before. It is 1/4" wide by 1.5" long with 40+ legs. I know it is not a centipede or millipede. It is brown in color. It looks nasty. Is there a forum i can check bugs/insects out to see what it is? Thanks

Just moved in, and I really want it to look nice. I would call a pro, but I think they overdo it. I would like to get a good plan and then tinker with it a little.

I installed a new fixture in my sons' room and when I turned the power back on at the breaker, it lit up before I flipped the switch in their room. What did I do wrong? I connected white to white, black to black and ground to ground. There was also a red wire in the ceiling, which i kept covered. Thanks!

The Item is a woman dress stand-- that is put on top of maybe a dresser or some table. It kind of looks like the jewelry holders on those carts at the mall--except it is not to hold jewelry. It is a basic woman figure model without a head, and usually has a pretty doll like dress. It stands and is about 10 to 12 inches in height. Sometimes there is flowers on it. In the past, I have found the item in a marshalls or target--but it is so hard and very rare to find anymore. Can someone please tell me where I can find it? thanks

I have been looking for work for general clean up. I do any work that requires moving heavy material, cleaning up toilets, attics, garages, and anything else that requires someone who you just can't seem to find to do the dirty work. Please, help me, I've been looking for work now for four months with no success. I'm a nice guy and I'll end up the dirty guy if you have clean up, oh, and I also do mowing lawns, and raking leaves, and sweeping up and etc etc, anything that requires physical work. Thank you in how any of you might help me.

Below is a link for our bedding set. The walls are a light green, which doesn't actually appear anywhere in the bedding set, but it looks like it does with the way our lighting is. The curtains are light yellow, and there is a window directly behind the bed.
What color fabric should I get to make a padded headboard?

I was walking through the living room to eat my spaghetti when my cat walked by my feet and I tripped and spilled my bowl of spaghetti. Luckily I was able to recover the spaghetti from the floor, but the orange spaghetti sauce made a stain about 3 feet long. I am having trouble getting it out, and my REMOVER TRIPLE ACTION carpet stain remover doesn't have much more liquid in it. I need some suggestions for alternate methods.

I know a "full" bathroom must have a toilet, sink, and shower/bathtub. And a "half" contains just a toilet and sink.

So what would a .1 bathroom or .25 bathroom be? Please list sources if you have them. Thanks.

I live in central Iowa and am anxious to start preparing my garden bed. I plan to roto-till to break up the clay and turn some compost in.
We've had a few days since the ground has been really wet, but I'm wondering if it's still wet but just dry on the top.
It'd be great if I could start now, but I don't want to muck up the roto-tiller (rental) with a lot of wet clay.
Can someone tell me how I can tell if the ground is dry enough to start digging?
