My husband and I bought a house about 2 years ago and haven't really been able to decorate as much as I'd like because of our low income-and I'm not very creative but I'd like to have a nice home. Any ideas?

get organised easier if you have less stuff keep everything really tidy and neat this always makes for a good look.Get rid of anything that clutters up a room so that you have a free flow. You can make inexpensive curtains from patterned bed sheets; sew the tops with a gap for rods and use gay contrasting material for ties. Have vases with flowers or just green branches for decoration. Try to involve your husband in decorating ideas as it helps to become really motivated if the two of you are thinking of ways to improve the looks of the areas around you. Hang some posters to motivate both of you. You don't need to spend a lot just be enthusiastic about small changes.

Less is more! I am not very creative either. I would suggest small fake plants (you can pretty ones for like 5 dollars at Big Lots) on your end tables. You can also get pillows for your couch that will bring out the colors of your walls or any pictures you might have hung on the wall. I would also suggest a small rug that compliments your pillows or a picture that you might have hung on the wall. Try to have your rug with several different colors but yet match the things around. Hope this helps! Good luck on your adventure.

Go to a goodwill or salvation army resale shop and get things from there. You can get a can of spray paint to paint the items in the color you would like it to be. You need to look around at what you do have and think outside the box!

Watch Design on a Dime and Clean House on HGTV network. That'll give you some ideas on what looks nice. And you can go to they're website, HGTV.com. Have fun!

the best houses in the neighborhood still look like all the rest if they get that cluttered look. keep the yard picked up and eliminate all unecessary things in the yard.neatness beats lots of money anyday...
