I am restoring a condo and would like to remove the old 90's look spackled wall paint. It has the little chunks all over the wall with paint on top of it. Should I sand this down, or use a paint remover.

It claims it grows in any climate , year round. Just not sure it would work in Oklahoma.

So far, the only problem I've noticed is that the glass part of my computer monitor is slightly electric. Not enough to hurt, but it clearly tickles. Any cheap suggestions would be nice, especially as I'm sure the landlord doesn't want to rewire the whole house.

I just bought a new one that has a digital reading of what the humidity is in the room, and we can set it to shut off when it reaches a certain level. I just don't know what that should be! With the furnace running it gets dry in here in the winter so I was just wondering what the "right" level should be. Thanks!

I just got back from a lovely week of vacation and discovered that someone attempted to break into my apartment. I live on the ground floor and the thief tried to get in from my patio door. I noticed the screen part was slid back and the door was unlocked. the thing that saved me was a security bar I put that blocks the door from being opened. But I am seriously creeped out. It was kind of my fault because I only left the hall light and the TV on, figuring my petsitter would leave a light on at night. (I figured wrong.) It's just scary the idea that someone got so close to getting in my apartment. It's also scary because it was most likely someone in my complex since my apt in the midde of a big secluded complex. What can I do to make myself feel more secure?

I was watching one of those home improvement/makeover shows on TLC the other day and they had redone the floor with a ceramic looking tile that actually had an adhesive back. They said it was actually textured to feel just like a ceramic floor, although it wasn't. Would anyone have any idea where I can find something like this? I have looked all over the internet and have not come up with anything close. Thank you!

I am conducting a survey, and thought what better place than Yahoo! answers to collect my data. If you are a male, please help me out by answering this simple question : ) Detailed answers are not necessary, so don't worry about your verbiage.

If you had to paint your bedroom, and the color HAD to be one of the colors listed below, which would you choose?

Purple
Blue
Green
Yellow
Orange
Red

Thanks!!!!

We removed the "bulkhead" from above our cupboards (kitchen) and now there's a dark ring around where the bulkhead met up with the ceiling. How do I get rid of the ring without damaging the texture?

What is a good inexpensive plant or tree that I can keep outside. I live in Santa Barbara, CA so it never really gets all that hot or cold but I'd like something I can leave outside that won't die.

My husband fitted a new light fitting in our lounge. He says it was quite straightforward, although fiddly. It looked great once we put all the light bulbs in, but now it won't switch off unless we turn the fuse off!

The light switch we have is a dimmer, and worked perfectly for the old light fitting - any ideas?

I recently just purchased a Kirby vacuum cleaner & carpet shampooer; the salesman said that it was perfectly ok to clean the couch with the Kirby shampoo (it's really just a light foam) I just wanted to know if anyone has any personal experiances they can share...

It's been cold here but I don't think it's a frozen pipe. It also gurgles in the toilet in the same bathroom. The machine is about fifteen feet from laundry room to bathroom. It has never happened when I shower or use the dishwasher. HELP. It's a septic system if that helps.
