We removed the "bulkhead" from above our cupboards (kitchen) and now there's a dark ring around where the bulkhead met up with the ceiling. How do I get rid of the ring without damaging the texture?

H sugar!,,you're going to need a ladder a bucket of warm water and a textured spongs.. put some dish soap in the water,..not too much and systematically go in sections, getting the ceiling wet and scrubing it a bit, rinse and repeat...section by section.. I've donteit!.. it's the best way other that getting a steam cleaner and plasticing of the entire room.

You'll probably need to repaint the entire ceiling with a good primer like Kilz. If you have popcorn texture, make sure to use a very deep pile on your roller, and only roll in one direction. The popcorn will "melt" slightly, but the overall texture will be fine.

Paint, if you try to clean it it will come off, it is drywall mud. If it's really dark use Kilz or Bin sealer, My hubby was a professional painter, they have this a WalMart. If they don't have these brands ask for a store brand.
