We live behind a construction site building houses and they are on site before 6.30am and i thought that they had to respect the residents and come on later. Does anyone know?

There are lots of holes in people's walls, few due to accidents, and most due to teenager's fists/feet. Isn't there something better out there that can be painted just like drywall, but not break when the teens decide to express their rage? Why are we still using this weak drywall stuff anyway?

I am moving into a new house and my room smells horribly of cat urine, cat feces, and overall just cat-like. I hate it! What are safe, easy, effective, non-expensive ways to get rid of this odor and keep it from returning? Help me!

Fixture has light sensor on it, so it goes on when it gets dark and goes off in morning light, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. It is 13 watt but suppose throw equiv. of 100 incandesent light bulb (amout of light it throws off is incredible in my opinion). I used this to replace a 70 Watt HP Sodium light. I hope it was a good idea, as I said I am very happy with the amount of light.

Ok, found a piece of property that I would really like to purchase, or acquire. Judging by the looks of the house that is on this property, it is not inhabitable and I believe even abandoned. The house has the door off,and curiosity made me go inside. It is now 2006 and I found newspapers dated 1987 and a pre-70s phone was there as well. How can I get this property? Or find out its status other then contacting a real estate agent. Is there a web site for a tax assessor? What is a good source to find abandoned property?

I purchased from a web site over a year ago called "The Burning Butterfly" they sell car airfresheners, inscence and candles. I only ordered 2 spray fresheners for car and maybe a small candle. Gave my card # and didn't get what I ordered till about 3 months later after I emailed them about their whereabouts. Here I am today, looking at bank statement that shows them taking $ from my account 9/26/06. I regretfully, haven't kept a close eye on past statements but am now researching them. I paid for my items the day they were ordered and in no way approved for further funds to be withdrawn from their company. Any answers or opinions would be helpful to know what my next step should be. Shelly

We just bought our house, and the previous owners put "picture frame molding" (at least that is what i think it is called) everyone. These are rectangular shaped molding on the walls at the same height you would hang pictures. The walls have just been painted, and we don't have the energy (or money) to remove the moldings. It seems that all paintings would look weird (even if they were exactly symmetrically placed). Any decorators out there who can help?

I am not sure if I have described the problem properly. When you look at the ceiling, it just looks wavy, it goes up and down.

Will it ruin clothes? Is it safe to put on baby clothes? Does it really work to get out stains like food and baby poo? Do I have to dilute it or just use it directly?

I have no trouble filling holes on the flat wall using a paint scraper to even it out, but I have trouble getting it nice and smooth on the corners. Im using stuff called Joint Filling Compound, I thought I could smooth it by running my finger down but it is not the right consistency for that. Is there a special tool I need?

I live in an apartment that appears to have been made from a converted house. There is a separate electric radiator for each room, and therefore a separate thermostat for each. There are two thermostats now that I have caught making a buzzing noise... one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. It isn't an electrical-short, spark kind of noise... it's almost like the buzz of the dryer when it finishes, only a very quiet version of the noise. And it doesn't do it in a predictable pattern, it's pretty sporadic, and usually does a few short buzzes in a row and then stops.

Ideas?
