I tried using nail polish remover but it spoiled the acrylic, I was so sad you know cos the acrylic was initially clear and transparent now a bit of it is smeared. I've tried putting it in water but it can't come off. Please help me get rid of these unslightly tape marks without hurting the plastic!

I have my dad's dresser who passed away 7 years ago, the other day my boyfriend pulled the front of the drawer off, it was put together using the "dove tail" cut, or tounge and grove cut, I need to know the best way to put the front back on. I dont want to get rid of the dresser due to it being my dad's and I don't have much left of him. How can I put it together so it has a strong bond again?

The crack measures about 2cm long, is at the very bottom of the door and is the result of drilling a hole below when fitting a lock. It's a huge piece of glass and will obviously cost a fortune to replace, and so I would obviously love to avoid it. Thanks very much!

My son decided to put a little color on everything this morning including his own arms. Luckily we were able to get it off of his arms with nail polish remover but i am afraid to try on anything else until we get a little feedback from so others out here! Our cordless caller id phone is now just cordless, our keyboard for the computer is now black and grey, the mouse has a lovely solid circle on it and my chair has markings on the attached cushions and wood frame. Oh and one of my credit cards is now solid black! This three year old is more and more creative every single day!!! If you can give some suggestions to help remove all of this lovely artwork i would greatly appreciate it!!

Hard to explain but i'll try. The way the contractor built them originally wasnt good. On the one corner the wood ended up rotting out. My question is should I just run a 2 x 6 from the board behind the gutters to the peak which basically the only thing giving it any support is the plywood roof or should I make a box using 2 x 6 x 8 for the outsides and 2 x 4 bracers inbetween so I can easily put up the facia.

The hole is hard to get to because if is real close to the central air unit behind the house. Also I can not use stink bombs because it is close to the kitchen of my house and the idea is to get rid of the groundhog not me!!

I grew up in Northwest Indiana and my Grandma had a GLORIOUS garden. She was from Mississippi and boy did she have a green thumb. I will likely be relocating in 2 years & we're open to a hundred places around the country.. we love adventure AND family.. Here's what I'd like to grow and please don't say it can't all be done, because Grandma did it! Thank you!!

Apple tree, a cherry tree & eucalyptus tree or plants.
Pergola with grapes. I will grow onions, carrots, potatoes, celery, green onions, strawberries, cabbage, collard mustard and spinach greens, tomatoes and brussels sprouts.

I'd like flowers, too, but I'll leave those to my hubby who loves landscaping.

Lilac bushes (my favorite) !!!

Lots of herbs like cilantro, basil, rosemary, lavender & such for cooking and making soaps & candles.

I just bought a house whose former owner smoked heavily, and the entire house carries the sour, stale smell of old cigarette smoke. I am trying to air out the house as much as possible, and I suppose that I will resort to air fresheners, baking soda, and some repainting of the walls; but else can I do? It's driving me nuts.

Several years ago I bought a product in the form of a something like a bar of soap to be used to remove soap scum from a ceramic tile stall shower. I can't recall the name OR where I purchased it. It worked really well! Is anyone familiar with this product and its name? All I could find online was a spray product called "Kaboom" and misc. "recipes" for soap-scum removing solutions.

got a glow worm swift flow 100 and the pilot won't stay lit, i've tried everything any one think of what else it can be, i've even called glow worm tech help desk!

the following have either been replaced with new or checked to ensure they are working / correctly set.

thermo couple
gas valve
pump
fan
water pressure
gas tube (the alli one that connects pilot to the gas valve)
sealed all possible air holes with high temp silicone.

can light pilot and it will stay on, but when i fire up the boiler it runs for about 10-15 seconds then "clicks off" knocking out the pilot again..... anyone got any idea what to try
