I find the best thing is to use one of those mops that have a spray bottle - you don't have to stick to the one that uses only their brand of spray only as find them expensive, some have refillable ones that you can put whatever you wish in them. I use one of these with a dettol, apple scented, anti-bacteria spray and hey presto quick, spray, quick mop and job done. Room smells nice too. Hope this info helps.

I stopped using mops and buckets years ago. I use the swifter mop, rotates as well as a cotton mop. It is light weight and very easy to use under cabinet ledges etc. However, I use a large wash cloth, not their throw away paper refills. The paper refills become expensive, must remember to buy them often, and they work well for about 5 strokes across the floor before you need to get another one. I use a dry wash cloth for sweeping floors, and a wet one for moping. When it gets too dirty on one side after several rinses. I simply turn it over and use the other side. I toss it in the laundry for a good cleaning before the next use. Mops are never shared from house to house. No heavy, sloppy water buckets.Plain warm water is the best for keeping the laminate surfaces like new. If you must... use acrylic floor polishes only! They don't yellow over time. Strip it with straight ammonia (and a face mask). Still the best way if you need to start your floor surfaces over. I just did a kitchen floor with 20 years of yellow wax build up. Laminate surface underneath was like new. Never needs polishing. WATER WATER WATER and a very light mist spray of citrus cleaner if you insist. Dry the surface right away with a dry wash cloth,so it doesn't leave streakes or puddles and safe for unsuspecting persons from slipping on floor.

There are two good methods,
1: Special laminate floor cleaner
2: Drop of washing up liquid in water, not too hot
With both methods avoid over wetting the floor & i find its better to do a section at a time so you can dry it with kitchen roll as you go along.

I used to struggle keeping my laminate floors clean. Over the years I've used just about everything including baby wipes! I discovered the Flash mop last year and it's really good. BUT the pads and liquid are not cheap. Once I used furniture polish and a duster to make it shiny and slipped over and banged my head on the telly.....you live and learn....

Most of my house has laminate flooring. I find the quickest and cheapest way to clean it is a mop and Cif, it leaves no streaky marks and smells lovely. I have a German Shepherd dog and two cats so I need to do my floors every day. it's so easy
