Okay, Kid, here goes. You sound JUST like me. You WILL get over it, believe me. First, pick up and fold up any clean clothes laying around. It helps if you have your closet organized, so you can hang things with their family. Pants with pants, blouses with blouses, coats with coats. You get the idea.
Okay, we have the clothes picked up. Now, pick up all the wet towels and hang them up to dry before you throw them in the laundry. Perhaps you could ask for a beautiful jewelry box for Christmas so you can put your jewelry away.
Now, the most important thing. When you get up in the morning, or afternoon, make your bed up. It takes exactly 30 seconds. Believe me, I have it down pat. When your bed is made, your whole room does not look so bad.
Okay, we have the clothes, the wet towels, the jewelry. Now the shoes. Line them up in your closet two-by-two. We should be ready for the sweeper about now, huh? Sweep, and you should be ready to go out and rock and roll! Don't forget to dust.
Another tip, (you are probably tired of me by now) another tip, before you go to bed, straighten up. It takes only 60 seconds.
Love Ya! Grandma.

I have the same problem. I don't ever want to clean my room or I get in the mood to and then it goes away. I put on some good music and sing and dance while I'm cleaning or I try to make cleaning into a game. I play "basketball" with the dirty clothes with the clothes basket. I make cleaning into something fun and it goes by faster and by the time that you realize that your actually cleaning your room is done.

When cleaning, I always bounce from one thing to the next, instead of doing one job (ie hanging or putting away your laundry) I might do that for a few minutes, then organize a stack of papers for a while, then reshelve some books, then clean something, etc etc etc. It seems to help with the boredom if you tackle a litte bit at a time. Having some good music on helps too. Sometimes I like to set a timer for a certain job too, trying to beat the clock is always fun. Good luck!!

Put on some upbeat music that you can dance to while you are cleaning (but more cleaning than dancing). Don't try to clean the whole room at one time, just to 10 or 15 minutes a day.
That way, you clean your room and get some exercise at the same time.

Put on some music and start small. Do just your bed area. Looks good, right? Get rid of the dirty clothes and put the clean clothes away. Now all that's left is to dust...too much junk on your dresser? Pack some away. Now just vacuum and you're done!
Don't look at all that has to be done. Just take little jobs at a time, one after the other, and before you know it you'll be done! Good luck.

Crank up the tunes! And do the flylady thing. Set a timer for 15 minutes. See what you can get done. And if you get in that groove, then you might want to keep at it. Think of how pretty the room will look all organized!

please... turn on the music and dance your way to a clean room. if you trip over something while dancing pick it up and put it where it belongs... and before the track is over the whole room is clean. and be lucky you don't have to clean the whole house like your mom does. so be thankful it's just one room.. now go do the dishes for your mom she will love you for it!!!!

clean one section at a time and after you clean every little section, treat yourself to a fifteen minute break or something like that and when your entire room is clean give yourself a really nice big treat.
