The water in my tub/shower stopped working. I did my research on the net to discover the cause and I also went to Home Depot explained the problem. The worker at home depot helped me get the right part I needed to replace the valve stem.

I came home, took the faucet handle off and can see what I need to do next. Everything seems perfect and ready to go, except I can't remove the old valve stem. It seems like the old one should just slide out and the new one replaces it. How do I get the old one out without damaging any of the pipes or hurting myself.

I want to run my home well, but on a budget. It's just me and my husband that live together, and it just seems to be so expensive to maintain the house. Am new at this, so advice from more experienced women would be very appreciated. What would be a reasonable budget for stocking the house? And any advice on must-have products for the home?
And then there is cooking...I cant seem to cook the right proportions and, at the right time, cause I'm so tired when I come home from work. Any ideas?
Storage is another one...the bins I buy dont ever seem to be big enough to hold my stuff.
So basically am saying, "HELP!"

I planted two of each plant in my garden. I live in South-west Florida. I of each plant is dead and they are on different sides of the garden. I put alot of water in the dead plants and alot of small black bugs came out of each one. I would like to know what that bug is. It looks like a small beetle. Does anyone know? Please help and let me know what to do to kill them. I never knew of a bug killing plants or building homes in the roots.
