I have one shutoff for my clothes washer that has two supply openings, these are copper and threaded. I have used pvc adapters ( one end treaded, the other female)to take it from copper to plastic. When I use Oaty all purpose cement and primer it start to leak with 6 hours. I used plenty of cement and let it sit for 3 hours to dry, and also made sure to seat the pipe and twist the 1/3 to make sure it was in. Any other ideas how to make this connection. Thank you .

I bought some land and there is a lot of big bushes on the fence line. I cut them down, but they keep coming back. I have tried Round-Up and burning. I would love to have them gone. The grass is really high and I can't cut it because the bushes are in the way. I am to the point were I want to kill everything on the fence row.

I just got a new cell phone. Only had the first about 21 days. I was having trouble charging it, and Sprint gave a new phone to me. (Yes, hours of fun entering the phone numbers again.) The person who waited on me at the Sprint didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and said that you can do it either way. It is a Samsung picture phone.

I have spray painted the base of a bathroom vanity light fixture. I called the information number on the can of spray paint to ask if this was a wise idea before I did so and was told that the rule of thumb is that if something gets so hot that you can't put your finger on it without pulling it away quickly, it was too hot to paint. I left my current light in the bathroom on for several hours and placed my finger on it directly behind the bulb and was able to leave it there indeffinately with no problems, so I went ahead and painted the new fixture. After doing so, I noticed that a small amount of the spray paint got on the wires. It is only on the insulation of the wire and not the actual metal part. So I am left with the question, is that small amount of paint on the wire insulation going to cause problems?

If yes to: dye coming out of clothes, do you find it occurs more with blue and green items? I think it is due to the poorer quality of dyes and poorer quality of fabrics used. Are there any solutions to avoiding this?

I just inherited a very nice couch from my grandmother. It is in great condition, but has been in a basement for the past 6 months and has a strong musty smell. I've been using extra strength Febreze on it, but didn't know if anyone had any great secrets out there on how to get rid of the smell. Thanks!

Is it a law that if a bowl is microwave safe then they would put it on there? The bowl I have does not say anything on the bottom. Should I just assume it is not microwave safe and not use it?
Also if anyone could think of a better place to ask this question please suggest. They don't have a catagory for dishes lol.

Thank you so much!
