The wall is plaster over brick. Should I use plaster or filler? What is the best way to get a straight edge?

I used DeCon 3 days ago and it is eating it real slow but eating some none the less. It is agrivating as all h*ll and noisey. I set two traps and it must be wise to them because it walks all the way around them without going for the peanut butter on them.

I am a new homeowner. My home is heated by hot water radiators. They work fine, but they don't heat as well as the radiators in some other places I've lived. I bleed them on a semi-annual basis. Is there anything else I should do to service these radiators? Or should I call in a professional for service periodically? What is a professional likely to do?

Thanks.

Power outages are commonplace and I'm fed up with them! I want to research what is needed and how to properly connect the generator to my home electrical system. Can anyone give me pointers or suggest where to look? Even if I hire someone to do the work I want to know and understand exactly what is being done.

I have lovely wooden oak floors which have been stained with a light coloured stain and lightly varnished however I'd like to change the colour to a deep brown and wondered if you have to sand down the floors or can you simply stain or paint straight over?

We have the typical set of ugly preformed concrete stairs. They are starting to turn black and spotted. I put some bleach on them and now there are some ligher gray patches to go along with the black and brown spots from dirt, lichen and whatever.

Can you clean them? Can you paint them? Can you go over them with something more attractive?
