I have wood lattice that my hubby purchased. I is unfinished wood. I want to paint it white. Can it be spray painted or is it better to use a brush?

SPRAY! A brush will take a LOT longer to get in all the grooves. Borrow a paint sprayer if possible so you can use latex and save money, or just use spray paint.

It is best to spray paint lattice with a fine sprayer. Do not use can spray as it does not adjust to fine spraying. You can use the brush method but chances are you will end up with what I call drip blobs that can look awful.
You will have to invest in a sprayer that has an adjustable spray.
remember to use a primer first so the wood does not soak up the final paint.

I hate to paint lattice so I spray it. They sell white lattice in a plastic or vinyle, I have heard it last for years.

Depends on the time you want to spend doing it. Painting with a brush is less expensive and can be very therapeutic. It's a repetitive motion and when you get your rhythm, it's pretty satisfying--also neater than spray that goes everywhere including on you. I'm so frugal that I hate to pay for paint that doesn't go on the item I'm painting. You'll need a narrow brush.

Great advice from eskie lover but I would like to add that you need to make sure and do it on a day that the sun is shining and will be for a few days after. No rain in the forecast! Been there!!! learned the hard way,

its easier to spray paint. I did it it with a small roller. It takes a long time to do it with a brush. You have to prime it first buy some primer in spray can.

You should also use a spray primer. It will make your paint last longer.
