If you have hydrangeas and want them to flower in pink they need to be in an acid soil environment. Sprinkle Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) around them to change the pH of the soil to acid. Do it every week before they start flowering.

it is not a fertilizer like Vigoro - it is a pH changer. It also makes azaleas and rhododendrons happy.

Epsom salts keep plants green and healthy. Very little is sprinkled around the plants away from the stem only once a month.

I bought epsom salt especially for plants from WalMart or McLendons one of them, directions on the bag.

just sprinkle them around the "drip" line of the plant. (a circle around the edge where the foliage extends out to). epsom isn't fertilizer, it is for ph. palms like it too. it helps all green foliage be greener.

I've read that it is especially good for clematis, roses and tomatoes. You can mix it with water or just sprinkle it around the plant and then water.
