Use 2 8"X8" treated wooden posts about 4 ' longer than the height of the gate. Dig a 3-4' hole on either side of the drive way. The holes have to be wider on the bottom. Anchor the posts with some big rocks and fill each hole with cement.Make sure the posts are plumb. When the cement is completely dry you can attach the gates with sturdy special gate hinges. To keep the gates closed attach a bolt, made for this purpose, which can be lowered into a hole in the drive way floor. The wooden frame of each gate has to be kept square with a diagonal 2x4 reaching from the top corner (where the gate is attached to the post) to the bottom corner of the gate (where the two gates meet). The four corners of the gate have to be reinforced with heavy long flat predrilled metal angles fastened to the inside of the gates facing the house not the street. Attach a wheel to the bottom corner of each gate where they meet so that the gates can easily be rolled open and closed. The finishing, closing off, of the frames of the gates should be kept as light as possible and is done pretty well as a fence. Cedar slats would serve this purpose well.

The easiest way and the cheapest , would be to use 4x1" prepared timber. Using 4x1" timber as a z frame to fix the 4x1" uprights to.
Using coated screws to fix all timbers to frame, this will stop the screws rusting over the years. Treat all timbers or paint according to choise. If you do not have a wall each side of your driveway you will need to dig out the ground approximately 24" or 60mm in metric in order to insert a 4x4" square post which needs to be slightly taller than the finished height of the gates. You do this by means of a course mix of ballast and cement, which you can buy from any DIY store.
To attach the gates to the post you will require Barn hinges, the length of the hinges will be determined by the width of your gates, ( these are long, black or anodized finish, again you can purchase these in any DIY store.) again fix these on to the gates and the post using coated screws. To hold the gates closed you will require 2 of 9" slide bolts for the bottom and the top of the gates. (A hole will be required to be drilled in the concrete of the driveway in order for the bottom slide bolt to engage and stay closed.) There are plenty of other ways that you can do this but it all depends on your budget. I hope you find this help full.

You want good sturdy corner posts. You want something that will not rot, so try to find 2 ten foot Hedge posts about 8 inch diameter. Dig a four foot hole for the posts and pour concrete around them. There is a lot of tension on the posts. They have hinges that you can use by boring a hole through the posts and they will have a little up right post sticking up that the hinge part from the gate sits on. what is nice about these is that you can adjust them by tightening and loosing the bolt going through the post. Now you can build your gate to how ever you want.

Well, is that legal? If you gate is right on the street, i dont think you can do that. But to build it, get a book, or talk to people, at Home Depot or Lowe's. If it's legal, they'll help, and maybe even build it!

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/bBRyZ
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Not a giant wooden rabbit, but a HUGE television set for us to open and climb in to. I don't believe it was" part of his plan" ( LOL) at all, just something that we humans constructed ourselves. Anyhow its working just like the Trojan horse, isn't it? Destroying more people every day and stealing our ability to reason for ourselves. Pretty poison.
