it's a pair of glasses, with normal plastic lenses (CR39 or whatever that stuff is). There's a smudge of superglue right where i don't want it.

Help!!!

Usually, a superglue *smear* is melted right into the plastic. You could try the edge of a razor blade at a 45 degree angle to scrape it gently. However, don't expect it to work very well.

Acetone will fog the plastic. Unless you have the capability to re-buff your lens to its original polish, don't use acetone.

There are glass and plastic scratch filling compounds, but they will not work well on coated lenses.

Your backup plan is to get another lens made for your glasses, and buy insurance. If they're a child's glasses, most optometrists automatically include breakage/damage insurance.

Basically the super glue melts it way into the lens. The lens is ruined.

the glue is harder than the plastic, try a razor, and buff back smooth, and chemical will eat the plastic B4 the glue.

OMG....acetone is all I know that takes off super glue... you could try to gently pick it off... acetone would probably hurt the lens material... Godd Luck!!!

Your only hope is fingernail polish remover containing acetone. If that doesn't work, I think you're screwed. Good luck!

I don't know for sure, but you could try freezing the lens. It may shrink enough to separate.
