Why do people buy Bungalows, and then add loft conversions. If they want stairs, then why not buy a house.(Not a serious question, just one of them wimsical things my hubby thought of).

I recently moved into a new house and ants are a problem, big ants, not the little sugar ants. I have put out little killer traps (the kind they eat and take into their 'house') But I have a huge anthill, appx 2 feet tall. It's in a bunch of brush, so burning it is not an option. Any ideas?

These will be used in a humid screen porch. Brand recommendations would be appreciated. I don't know if I want to buy cheap and disposable/replaceable or buy really good ones. Either way I'd prefer they don't rust terribly. Personal experiences with different brands and models would be appreciated. They don't necessarily have to oscilate. Alternately I suppose I could buy a wall mountable fan...

Im in Ireland and am having a new water tank installed in my bathroom. Nothing high powered, just a cylindrical tank. I dont know the first thing about what this should cost. There wont be any lifting of fllorboards or going up into attics or anything. Anybody out there who can give me a realistic estimate? Thanks

We have found 50+ large and small diagonal holes in the lawn. We found them after two large cottonwood trees were cut.

The airbed is a few years old and I wonder if it has been over inflated. What can one do with it if not repairable. How would you recycle it?

Someone just suggested cleaning with vinegar. What ratio of water to vinegar would you use in an spray bottle, for

Cleaning floors?
Cleaning counterops?
Cleaning sinks, toilets, and tubs?

ALso, would you use white vinegar or a different type of vinegar?

This is after you've called the police numerous times and he just doesn't care. He just parties on day or night.

And after you've complained in writing to the apartment complex but they don't care either because they are a bunch of jerks.

I can't afford to move. But I need peace and quiet. I have a hard job and deserve peace in my own home.

Hi all Singapore HDB owners: I am staying in a HDB unit with living room and most rooms having windows facing NW. All of the windows are sliding type and knowing that wind usually blow from North or South.

Anyone know or hav experience by changing the sliding windows to casement windows (those push out ones) can help to direct the wind into the rooms?

Or is there other ways to make my unit more windy as the air is very still... (not using fan or aircon thou).
