I also clean houses and there are a few of our customers that want nothing but vinegar used in there homes because it will not damage there hard wood floors. We fill a bucket about half full and use just a splash of white vinegar in it we use that on mirrors, counter tops, floors just about everything in there home and it looks beautiful when were done. After seeing how great it works that is the only thing Ill use in my home now.

I clean houses. I use vinegar all the time. If you are using it in a spray bottle only about one table spoon to a cup and a half of water. If you put too much vinegar, you can make surfaces sticky and tend to dry wood out. It is great on floors, but like I said not too much. Folks think more is better but in this case not so.

If you use the mix on windows, a teaspoon of lemon juice in the mix will make your windows and any chrome really shine!

Good Luck!

Good for you!
White vinegar is the best for cleaning and it doesn't spew chemicals into the sewage systems.

Check the label for cleaning tips. I have used vinegar on windows (streak-free, no nasty ammonia in the air), great for floors (especially if you have pets) and for cleaning drains (1/2 part baking soda to 1 part vinegar will keep gunk from accumulating if you do it monthly).

Considering what you're cleaning, I'd use it straight. Use white vinegar, the stuff in the malt, apple cider, red wine etc vinegars that gives them colour will likely stain your surfaces. Standard vinegar is 5% acetic acid (should be somewhere on the label). If you want a bit more punch, you can get pickling vinegar (7%), should be pretty close to the 5% stuff on the grocery-store shelf.

one part vinegar to four parts water. for floors, stronger if deep cleaning, but rinse after using stronger strength.

Same for countertops

Sinks toilets and tubs, I would go a bit strong 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water.

Always use white distilled vinegar 5%.

You can also use vinegar for sparkling windows.

My mother introduced me to it to get pet urine smells out of clothes. 1 cup brown vinegar in the washer and the stench is gone. It does leave a smell for a while but it does dissipate. We use it on windows and in the laundry have never heard of it used for general but looked it up and heres a link
