I have two problems with the toilets in my apartment. The first is that we have very hard water and there is a water ring around the water level that I can't scrub away. Secondly, there are blue stains from the drop in that I use that have built up and I can't get rid of. Anyone know any tricks?

We have 11 gallons per minute from our well for our sprinkler system and have 3 heads per zone. In other comments, it was said that if mushrooms appear or if there is a yellow tinge to the grass, it may be overwatering, is this true? Also, the leaves on our newly planted trees this year are black on the ends and curled up. Is this a sign of overwatering? We put pvc pipe near the roots so we could deep water and we water the grass and trees every other day from 2 - 3 hours for each zone. We were told the problem was salt damage due to the alkali in our water so have used Muracid twice this summer and it helped with one maple but the pear, locust and autumn blaze maple really look bad. We don't want to lose them and need advice on how to water and how much to water. Thanks!

I have a nice goosedown blanket. Is it safe to wash it in my machine or will it mess up all the feathers? I already took it's cover off.

Our compressor went on our heat pump, it was replaced. Three weeks later when we needed the central air it did not work. The compressor went again and this time when it was replaced they found it not working because there was a restriction in the system. Should this have been found after the first compressor was replaced? Do we have any recourse on who pays for the refrigerant(because we had 14lbs put in the first time and it was found to be contaminated now, therefore they had to drain and put 20lbs of refrigerant in the system) and labor? Are we being ripped off?

These trees are driving me crazy! I have little trees sprouting up all over the place. I have three large trees, and I guess they're throwing spores all over the place. I mow or cut the little ones down, but then little trees start up again from the cut areas. What can I do, short of have the large ones destroyed?!
