Around chicken coop in yard, these seemingly harmless holes have been appearing. Not gophers, had last year with those conical mounds. Not garden snakes either. Fills with water with seemingly no bottom. Can't even guess what they could be from. No other possibilities we can think of. Maybe skunks? Digging whatever? Hell, we're buffaloed!! Any ideas out there??

But I'm afraid the seeds will come alive sometime in the future when I use the compost.
I want to compost cause I hate throwing out, to the town, all the green weed vegitation that's been sucking my soil of its nutrients.

Any drawbacks to composting the weeds?
Any worries I should consider?

I was pressing a pair of white pants and didn't realize there was a fabric softener sheet in between the pant leg. When I put the iron on it, the chemical in the sheet left a stain on the pant leg. Does anyone know how to remove the stain? Thank you

I'm trying to put up a wall shelf that I bought from IKEA. I didn't realize that different walls required different types of screws. I had bought some #10 X1-1/2" flat head phillips screw at a nearby hardware store, but unfortunately, even when I drill the screw through a stud, the screws fail to hold the shelf in place. I can literally pull the screws out from the wall with my bare hand. Would using "plugs" or "mooring screws" do the job? Thanks.

Imagine 50 acres where you can do everything...

What would you do? You have about $10M, 275,000 US Gal of water per day, and you want a "garden" that grows faster but also be very pleasant!

What would you do?

If you want you can draw it and send me to my email... energy.engineer@yahoo.com!... and simply post: "I SENT YOU A DRAWING"

Tks to all...

The cabinet installer says the floor should go in first, but the flooring guy says the toe kick goes in first so that he has something to attach the molding to.
Who is right?

I recently bought a house with overgrown Pampas Grass. It is so thick with previous years' growth that it is extremely difficult to cut. I have tried a machete and even a chainsaw with no luck. I would burn it, but it is right next to a electrical utility transformer. Anybody ever try anything else with success?

We have 4 stairs and I'd love to find a way for my sister who needs a wheelchair to come visit us. I don't need a permanant structure, she would come only 2 -3 times per year if we could get her up some kind of ramp.

I have bought a brand new dining room table and chairs, but the two end chairs with the armrests are about an inch and a half too high to slide underneath the table. I have seen a lot of different types of furniture lifts and caster, but they are either too big or poor quality. I need something that is about 1 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" high. It needs to be something that the table legs cannot slip off. Does anyone have any ideas?
