From my studying, I have learned that when one sees gray they are more creative - there is no distraction when looking at gray. You can do this without having to change your wall color or even the white woodwork. I would suggest finding a piece of artwork that is gray. Blow up an old photo that you love in a gray scale and frame it. Or blow up a picture of a beautiful flower or anything. Paint it. Usually office supplies are gray so that would be easy to find.

I see a long vase on your desk with a beautiful huge flower with crystal clear water... all of your things are organized in drawers, on bookshelves... minimal accessories that are around to distract you from studying but bring pops of color here and there... a big gray piece of artwork hanging above your desk or somewhere along a wall framed in a charcoal gray...

Good luck! If this was any help from you and would like to contact me feel free!

I painted my old work space a dusty lavender and it worked well for concentrating and studying. The color promotes calmness as well as creativity. Try throwing a little of it in. But keep the color schemes fairly limited. Too many colors can distract you big time.

Don't know that I would necessarily re-paint the office, but you could try using aroma therapy. Lavender is a very relaxing aroma for studying. As a pick me up you would use peppermint.
Be sure to get a good brand of essential oils and use a good defuser!

Anything will work. But it sounds to me like you are trying to find things to do other than studying.
