Around chicken coop in yard, these seemingly harmless holes have been appearing. Not gophers, had last year with those conical mounds. Not garden snakes either. Fills with water with seemingly no bottom. Can't even guess what they could be from. No other possibilities we can think of. Maybe skunks? Digging whatever? Hell, we're buffaloed!! Any ideas out there??

i comprehend this sounds merciless, yet you ought to purely take your water hose and run water into the holes over evening, If there is a few thing in there, like a mole or some thing, that is going to hit upon a way out and pass to another position, no longer so moist. both that or that is going to drown. problem solved.

I live in Maryland and had the same thing. What someone told me was that they were voles. Not moles but related to them. If your looking to get rid of them I was also told to use gum. They are attracted to it, but once eatan, they can't pass it.
