I want to make a pair of my BDU pants look old and worn out because that's pretty much what's in style now since everyone switched over to the new uniforms.

My nephew does this to make his jeans look old: rubs the knees gently w/ sandpaper and then puts them in washing machine w/ bleach. I'm not sure how MUCH bleach, so you might want to start w/ one cup bleach per load. Then if that's not enough, try 2 cups next time. He also rips holes in some of his jeans, but i personally don't like that look. The sandpaper and bleach looks better to me.

Well, to put ragged holes in them, you can take a cheese grater and scrape the pants with them. that works. i have a friend who tried it.
