I have two problems with the toilets in my apartment. The first is that we have very hard water and there is a water ring around the water level that I can't scrub away. Secondly, there are blue stains from the drop in that I use that have built up and I can't get rid of. Anyone know any tricks?

This is going to sound weird, but Denture Cleaning Tablets work the BEST on toilets!! Drop it in, and walk away! Use the brush, of course, to get stains above the water line, but it does work. Add a couple of tablets for extra strength cleaning. Good luck!

try pouring some bleach in the toliet at night before bedtime and let it soak all night.

I have well water and it leaves a ring at my water level and that is what I do and it works.

try some baking soda--it's cheap, good for the environment, and has more than one use like commercial toilet cleaners! just sprinkle some in, and scrub with a good hard brush(not those stupid new disposable ones). hopefully that helps.

Ask Barry Scott !
Seriously I would use a good lime scale remover.
