Really, mice... I knew I had a problem in the attached garage this winter... we have been setting traps using peanut butter as bait... but these mice are very intelligent mice and they manage to either eat the bait without triggering the trap or they have decided during the course of time that they prefer not to eat it at all... we have only caught 3 or 4 of them and I know that there are a lot more than that in the garage... gloves are used when baiting the traps so no scent...

Problem now is, oh my goodness, I found baby mouse poop in the kitchen underneath the microwave and the toaster oven which are on my countertop... I keep breads, onions, etc around... I have no idea how a mouse could get up there... there are no cords hanging down to the floor or anything like that... the only cord in the vacinity hangs from the microwave over to behind the refridgerator and it does not touch the floor nor is it anywhere near the floor....

I'm just curious what I'll come across in the house or in the backyard. I have an 11 year old daughter and a small Corgi dog.

assuming there is asbestos in my popcorn ceiling, is it easier to just apply new drywall over the popcorn? also it may be a messy job to scrape off the popcorn anyway. i was thinking of using a layer of plastic in between to avoid disturbing any loose popcorn. any suggestions, experience, or advice?

Our tomatoes are disappearing right off the vines before they're ripe enough to eat! We're told it's probably squirrels because we live in a suburban area (limited critter options.) Does anyone have the recipe for "Hot Bite Spray" from Jerry Baker's book or any other suggestions??? Internet says fox urine, but these squirrels are so domestic and suburban, they wouldn't recognize a fox as a predator. I'd rather go with something natural, not chemical. Thanks, guys!!!

I have correctly connected the wire for the fan and the lighting fixture, but the directions say that it must be grounded...and there is a green wire for the ground, but I have no wire to connect it to. Can I ground it on the metal support?

Purely theoretical question! If a UK building has been demolished, but you were to rebuild an exact replica (same construction method etc.) on the same site with no external differences, would planning permission be necessary?

They are older aluminum frame, double pained glass sliding doors to the back yard. The door that opens and closes has always felt heavy, but now it seems as though it really is getting very diffcult to open it.
