Hi,

This 'remedy' has worked for me on my roses, when grashoppers were devouring them last summer:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of dead insects (grasshoppers) gross, i know, but just get to squishing+collecting as many as you can.
1 Tablespoon of dishwashing liquid
1 Tablespoon of cayenne pepper
2 cups of water

Instructions:
Put all of these ingredients in an old blender (MAKE SURE IT IS ONE YOU WILL NEVER USE FOR FOOD!) and puree the heck out of them. Strain out the pulp using cheesecloth or old pantyhose. Dilute the remaining brew at a rate of 1/4 cup of brew per 1 cup of water. Apply with a hand held sprayer to the point of run off.
