Use an iron on the nylon setting which is low so it won't melt the material, but a paper towel between the iron and the sweater. Press and rotate the iron, moving the paper towel as the wax melts and wicks into the paper. Turn the garment inside out and repeat the process, if the wax went all the way through.

First take a hot iron without steam and a brown paper bag placed over the wax stain. Move the iron around the wax in a circular motion moving the brown paper as it picks up the wax. This method transfers the wax to the brown paper. If it was colored wax and the color stain remains, use a product available at the craft stores called Wax Away Remover.

Try to scrap off as much of the wax as you can. Sometimes freezing the wax will help with pulling wax off the sweater.
you can also try this
Use a piece of a paper sack. Lay it over the wax and use an iron over the paper sack. the heat will transfer the wax to the paper.
You will have to move the paper each time to pull more wax out.
Be careful not to transfer the wax to other places on the sweater or ironing board.

Get newspaper with no ink or some other paper, set it on the sweater and then place a warm iron on it. The wax should suck up into the paper. Keep doing this with clean paper until there is no more wax to pull out.

Put the sweater in the freezer for 15 minutes, that will freeze the wax and you should be able to pick it off. You may need to repeat this to get it all off.
If you use an iron as someone else suggested, you will embed the wax into the wool.

keep a paper to the back fringe of the position the position the wax is there and keep an iron field at a low temperature on it. try this. no longer certain if it extremely works. be conscious that u ought to invert the seater and stick to the moderate warmth in straight forward words to the back of the spilt part, so as that the aspect would come off even for the very gentle warmth you stick to.
